The Racing subscription is a supplement to the existing subscription.
With a Racing subscription, Sailserver 2 logs data from the instruments every second, providing enough data to analyze the sailing.
Features:
Generate polar diagrams.
Calculate current performance relative to the polar diagrams.
Calculate Beat VMG, Beat TWA, Beat STW, Run VMG, Gybe TWA, and more.
Analyze tacks (under development).
Compare polar diagrams against ORC VPP (Velocity Prediction Program).
Identify when and how the boat sails best and fastest.
A good performance analysis depends on:
The boat having instruments for: STW, wind speed, wind angle, HDG (heading).
Even better analysis if also available: rudder angle, heel, and pitch.
The sailing should include upwind legs on both tacks and preferably with several tacks.
